Starting times : Leaders do their best to wait for the train published in the programme. However, the National Rail internet timetable predicts only 12 weeks ahead, and there are often engineering works at weekends which may cause major changes to departure / arrival times. So please, even if travelling by car:
Before travelling, please check train times with TFL (034 3222 1234) or National Rail (034 5748 4950).
Some leaders carry a mobile phone on the day of the walk. This may help anyone affected by travel dificulties to meet up with the group, but is not intended to delay the starting time.
Lunchtimes: Where walk descriptions stipulate a picnic/packed lunch, all walkers are asked to bring one with them. In such cases, any lunchtime pub or café visit will be for drinks only. Lunch stops of this kind will last typically for 40-45 minutes, at the leader’s discretion. If, on the other hand, the option of lunch at a pub or café is offered, the duration will usually be about one hour.

Dogs : Some walks are not suitable for dogs, please check with the Leader before bringing one.
