Saturday 4 July. Meet PETERSFIELD station, Hampshire, 9.32 (Waterloo 8.30).A brisk and hilly 17-mile walk to Liss through the farmland and woodland of rural Hampshire, initially along the Hangers Way. The route takes us through Steep, Ashford Hangers National Nature Reserve and Hawkley, crossing several ‘hangers’ (steep sided wooded hills). Picnic lunch (pub/café drinks options) after 9.5 miles in Selborne, home of the naturalist Gilbert White.In the afternoon continuing along the Hangers Way for a short distance and then through quiet countryside to Liss.
